Vila Thai Cuisine is a unique culinary concept brought to you by Vila Jarrell. Vila envisioned a fine dining Thai Cuisine concept for a very long time, but just did not have the time or the energy to make the dream happened. For seven years, the idea was put on the back burner, while Vila continued to study the Arizona market.
Vila’s dream came into reality January of 2006, when she found a location on University and Park, by shear accident, while visiting a dear friend, who was living in Tucson at the time. The idea of a pilot restaurant on University was ideal, because Thai Cuisine is generally unfamiliar to Tucsonans. The location was a great way to test the market. Because the student body and professors here are very diversified, educated, independent thinkers, it made it a good place to open Vila Thai Cuisine’s first location. The U of A culture also lends itself to the Vila Thai Cuisine vision of the restaurant concept, involving the student’s culture, health, community and entertainment.
Vila Thai Cuisine is thriving on University and Park, located above the street on the Upper Deck. Our students, professors, and Tucsonans now find them selves enjoying great gourmet Thai cuisine, and continue to support the restaurant. Vila Thai Cuisine has a great event calendar and a beautiful website documenting all the events we've held and or participated in since we opened our doors.
